Q. What arrangements are there for housing?

A. Kamp Kiwanis has two separate dormitory buildings; one each for male and female participants, and a few separate rooms available for family/special need participants.The dormitories have bunkbeds with mattresses. Participants bring their own bedding (pillows, sleepings bags, or sheets and blankets.There are bathroom facilities in all dormitory buildings, with showers for bathing. The building with rooms for families has a bathtub. Since the Kamp is situated in a large, fence-enclosed, tree-studded property, there are many spots available for low-impact camping. Hookups for RV campers are also available.There are no laundry facilities available.

Q. Can arrangements be made for special dietary choices/needs?

A. Yes. Simply note on the registration form what the special choices/needs are.

Q. Are scholarships available, or, may I provide funds for a scholarship?

A. Scholarships are available on an individually-reviewed basis. Donations towards scholarships will be gratefully received and used. For more specific information on either of these two questions, please contact Alvin Bitsilly, Scholarship Coordinator (see Contact Us page).

Q. How do I sponsor young people, other than my own family members, who will attend with me?

A. We will need the same registration information for these young people, plus a signature of a parent/guardian that the child (or children) has their permission to attend. Medical release forms are also necessary for each participant. Please contact your Local Spiritual Assembly for a blank form. We will allow adults to sponsor only two (2) youth or children each.

Q. For what type of weather should I be prepared?

A. Usually, we can expect at least one rainstorm during our School sessions. Mornings and evenings are generally cool, but the days warm up very nicely.
